Material information:
  • Chipboard: Chipboard, known as particle board, is a composite wood material made from small wood pieces, usually pine or fir, bonded together under high pressure and temperature using resins. It is widely used in furniture making, interior surfaces, and structural applications. Made from recycled materials, it is resistant to warping, abrasions, and other physical stresses.
  • Melamine: LPB (Low Pressure Melamine) is a synthetic material widely used for surface finishing of chipboard in furniture and surfaces due to its durability and ease of maintenance. It is applied to substrates such as MDF (Medium-density fibreboard) or OSB plywood to produce durable surfaces.
  • MDF: MDF (Medium-density fibreboard) is a wood derivative. It is produced using resins (glues) to bond wood fibers, which are then compressed with special heated presses. It is denser than chipboard and resistant to stress. Additionally, it does not absorb moisture.
Maintenance instructions:
  • Chipboard: For cleaning chipboard, you can use a soft cloth slightly dampened with water and mild detergent. Avoid excessive use of water and keep the surface dry after cleaning.
  • Melamine: One of the most well-known materials in the furniture industry is melamine. To remove stains from the surface, use a soft cloth with lukewarm water and mild soap. Gently wipe the surface until the stain is removed. Melamine is sensitive to moisture, so it is important to protect it from water.
  • MDF: For cleaning, use a soft dry cloth to remove dust and dirt. For stains, use a soft cloth with lukewarm water and mild soap. Gently wipe the surface until the stain is removed. Finally, thoroughly dry the surface with a dry cloth. MDF is sensitive to moisture, so it is important to protect it from moisture. Wipe away any liquids immediately. Do not use strong cleaners or chemicals as they may damage the MDF.
